SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT
GOVERNING COUNCIL MEETING
OF THE UNION OF EUROPEAN FORESTERS
In Bulgaria 27th June - 2nd July 2006
DEAR COLLEAGUES AROUND EUROPE!
The time until the Governing Council Meeting is shortly running out
and we are looking forward to seeing you in Bulgaria from
27th June to 2nd July 2006.
Most of the preliminary work has already been carried out. Apart from the official meetings there will be interesting field trips to some of the most attractive regions in the country. Further more you will have the possibility to meet again your old forest colleagues as well as new ones from all around Europe.
REGISTRATION
Now is the time for you to fill in the registration form for the
Governing Council Meeting and send it to us. To register you can
either
a) fill in the Registration form at the bottom of this page or
b) you can open this MS Word document, fill in the form fields and send it to Anna Petrakieva at the following addresses: anpetrakieva@nug.bg and anpetrakieva@yahoo.com.
The deadline has been extended up to the 5th of
June 2006
using one of the two options
above
The participation fee per person will be 600 EURO (for
a single room) and 500 EURO (for a double room). For children up
to 16 years of age the price is 300 Euro for the whole
duration of the stay - including the childrens'
special programme on the 28th of June
For those who whish to leave on 1st of July, the fees
are as follows: 550 EURO per person for a single room and 470
EURO for a double room.
According to the minutes of the Presidency Meeting in Brussels, 9 March 2006, the UEF will support half of the participation fee to the GCM in Sofia for one student specially invited by each of the UEF member organizations. Since the participation fee for the GCM in Sofia is 500 Euro, 250 Euro will be supported by the UEF and 250 Euro will be paid by the student or by the UEF member organization having invited the student.
The fee includes transportation within the country;
hotel accommodation; breakfasts, dinners and lunches, as well as the field
trips. The participation fee should be paid in advance up to 12th
of June 2006, to the bank account of the Union of Bulgarian Foresters.
Information about bank account payment will be given to those, who have
registered for participation.
ARRIVAL TO BULGARIA
We wish the UEF’s representatives to arrive to Sofia
airport on 27th of June 2006. We will drive you from
the airport to the city of Sofia and Hotel Vitosha, in accordance with
your arrival schedule.
SEMINAR
The seminar-day on 28th June is entitled
"Forest Management and forestry methods".
The participating UEF member organisations are requested to have a maximum 15 minutes presentation (in English) covering the item of the seminar. The deadline for papers is 5th of June 2006
DEPARTURE FROM BULGARIA
Departure will be either in the morning of saturday the 1st of July or
in the morning of sunday the 2nd of July depending on the representatives'
preferences to stay another day in Bulgaria participating in a special
program. (see agenda below)
TO REMEMBER
Personal costs during your stay can be covered in leva (the Bulgarian
currency).
Please remember to take your passport with you.
