European survey about the risk of Pine wood nematode introduction

Given the recent pine wood nematode outbreak in France (in November 2025 and a new infestation point discovered lately), The European Institute of Cultivated Forest (IEFC), have perceived considerable concerns among local but also European forest practitioners and plant health authorities. Despite 20 years of risk anticipation looking at what was happening in Portugal and Spain, there was still important knowledge gap on the pest epidemiology and crisis management understanding among French stakeholders. INRAE and IEFC together have set up an online survey to try to better understand the needs for research and DST empowerment among European stakeholders. The results will feed the development of a future research project which is currently undere development.

The survey is addressed to any stakeholder involved in forest health monitoring or management, either its a forest manager, wood industry, plant protection organisation, policy maker, etc.
